Do you worry what is happening
inside your PC?
For most of us computers are sturdy
reliable work horses that we depend on for our daily tasks.
But things can go wrong. So is there a simple way of
keeping an eye on what is going on in that box?
Windows has a Task Manager that gives you a glimpse of the
inner workings allowing you to see what processes are running.
Processes and threads are operations that allow the computer software to do
many tasks at once - carrying out stuff like calculations.
About 20 - 30 of these run in the background and are vital but
some are an uneccesary waste and worse some are harmful spyware.

If you want to close down a selection of processes, for example, to burn a CD, do it here. You can also alter process priority. The Presets allow you to save a particular grouping for easy recall.
